PT Cruisin' Your Way to A Ticket
Many people try to park in the yellow lines thinking they can get away with it, but you only can as long as just a tiny part of your car is in the yellow (unlike this one).
Sorry, No Room Here
However, certain areas do not allow parking anytime due to driveways of houses or the street being too narrow in that area.

Meet Maryanne Kiley
She is a sophomore and parks for free on campus. She shares her differing experiences from this year and last. Greektown is one place on campus where students may park for free. Anyone can park here; you just have to be lucky enough to get one of the limited spots. The streets are packed bumper-to-bumper on any given day. However, there are certain streets where parking is only allowed on one side, and there are certain areas that contain a yellow line prohibiting parking there. Maryanne Kiley, sophomore, is parking in Greektown for the first time this year, and so far she has had luck always finding a spot. That is mostly in part because she does not use her car unless she is going home or absolutely needs to get somewhere. Last year, Maryanne parked at the Stadium parking lot so she was guaranteed a spot, but she was not guaranteed a specific one. She states, "Greektown is definitely more convenient in price and location, but I do miss the comfort of Stadium and knowing that I had a spot there somewhere for me." If she had to choose though, Maryanne says that Greektown would be her top pick. Parking here can be risky, but the price tag and location is well worth it for most people.
